About "Rigitizing"

Pittsburgh Tubular Shafting makes no guarantees as to the value of 'Rigitizing' relative to increasing the critical speed of any shaft but suggests the process as a 'safety factor' since it is not used in the formulation for selections.

Testing done to date reveals little difference on small diameter shafting but increases in value, as the diameter and length increase. It also varies with the wall thickness of the part and the material.
