Overall length tolerance up to 8ft.±1/16 - 10ft. to 15ft. ±1/8 - over 15ft. ±3/16.
Journal length tolerance ±1/8—keyway length tolerance ±1/16.
*Max T.I.R. either journal not to exceed .002
*Max T.I.R. at any one plane not to exceed .016 +ovality or not to exceed a max of .030 including ovality. Total T.I.R. to .010 on request.
Balance tolerance expressed as vibration displacement = .5 to 1.5 mils or approx. .015 oz. inches per pound of shaft.
The approx. range in oz. inches=.025 to 3.4 oz. inches depending on the dia. and length of shaft as related to the weight.

Note: Wgts. shown in the chart include Rigitizing but do not include balance wgts.
Material is ASTM 1020 grade steel tubing. All tubing processed is electric resistance welded to ASTM A513 unless otherwise specified. All PTS shafting is given a coating of rust preventative before shipment. Other PTS optional coating specs. on request.
All shafts are Rigitized and balanced.
All journals are finish machined to an RMS of 60 or better unless otherwise specified.
Specifications and tolerances other than these above must be by approval.
Engineering dwgs. are provided to suit your specific requirements.
All PTS shafts are crated and are stackable—see standard crating specs.
